A Silent Disco Fun Run is exactly what it sounds like: a 5km through the vineyards at Bloemendal, except instead of music playing over speakers, everyone wears a pair of glowing wireless headphones. Tune in, and the whole crowd moves to the same soundtrack – walking, jogging, and dancing their way around the course in what looks, from the outside, like total silence.

You choose a group when you arrive – anything from walking only to a steady jog – and each group has a leader wearing a transmitter. You tune your headphones to your leader’s channel, and simply follow their music and their pace for the full 5km.Which means nobody gets left behind you’re always with a leader whose whole job is to stay with your group.

It’s not a race. There are no timing chips, no pressure, and no such thing as too slow. Just a fun, easy 5km, a great soundtrack, a beautiful farm, and a big dance party at the finish line.
